GVW Tanker: 4500 & 5200

Maximum load limits upheld by state and federal agencies prescribe that combined tanker and tractor weight cannot exceed 80,000 lbs. Furthermore, Class B loads are typically restricted to 2/3 the total weight of Class A limits. These regulations establish a new set of guidelines for tanker production and operation:

- Weight is a factor on blacktop roads.
- Tractor size either controls the load or merely steers it.
- Terrain and soil types may dictate tank size.
- In any market, especially today’s market, cost is a factor and tires become a major portion of a tanker price.

At N-TECH, we have designed our new tankers to address all these issues, a new product line of 4500 or 5500 gallon sizes to fit your operation in terms of soils, terrain, and tractor size. Or tankers are also engineered with a steerable axle or axles, with a spread axle design (confused). The rear, walking beam is equipped with 4-wheel semi-trailer brakes.

Another key component of this tanker design is our exclusive low-cost tire option. With six or eight tires costing less than $1,000 instead of $10,000 to $15,000, our tanker line is also uniquely affordable, a critical attribute in today’s marketplace. We achieve this by employing 425 x 22.5 used truck tire, the kind used on cement and dump trucks, available as “take-offs” or “re-caps.” With longer trips to the field, these tires fulfill their duties very adequately. With 6 tires under a 4500-gallon tanker or 8 tires under a 5500-gallon tanker, the load per tire is minimized. Our system is a logical product of simple math. With 40 to 60 psi of air, the footprint minimizes the soil load, effectively distributing the weight of your payload and consequently achieving the widespread benefits of tanker stability. Of course, clients desiring new tires may purchase them at $500 each. We also offer a high flotation option, available at the price of typical tanker tires. Just add $10,000 to the price.

FEATURES:

Tank Hatch: located in the middle of the tank, this minimizes the splash out of the hatch. To eliminate splash, there are automatic doors in the hatch as an option.
Steerable Axle: by using the large truck front axle, we utilize the simplicity of the self-steer ability of this axle. The axle is also equipped with a hydraulic cylinder, which stabilizes load variations and provides steering control to back-up.
Quad Axle: the rear, walking beam equipped with semi-trailer axles utilizing heavy semi-brakes. With hydraulic control on these brakes, you have braking control for 40 ton braking not found in other tanks.
Hydraulic Pump: we utilize the capability of the hydraulic systems on today’s tractors to drive the pump (requirement 28 to 40 gpm @ 2000 psi min). This pump allows full spread, even on U-turns. The nozzle provides N-Tech rear, left or right spread.
Tank Tilt: An exclusive feature of the new N-TECH tank provides twin cylinders on the front of the structure, providing 30 inches of slope to empty the tank. As this feature lifts the steering axle 8” off the ground, it also provides an alternative way to back-up at the pit to re-fill.
Agitation Option: If tank agitation is an issue, an optional front mount prop agitator mounts on the front hatch to stir what is in the tank.
Fenders/Mud Flap: Tires are fully covered with heavy-duty fenders with rear mount mud flaps.
Lighting: The lighting package includes tail lights, brake lights, and signals with side marker lights. Reflector bands also accent the length and width of the tank.
